Except where attributed to another author or data source, all original That Scam Show content is the opinion of Dr Kerri O’Donnell (c) 2019-2020. You are encouraged to share original site content, provided you include proper attribution, including a link to this site.
The content on this site and its related social/media platforms is for educational purposes only and does not constitute legal or professional advice. My Fraud Examiner certification is no longer active, and I do not conduct investigations.
This site contains a LOT of links to materials that were published by others, and which are freely available on the internet. Some contain information or statistics that I cite in my own content, and others are included because I think they are generally useful. However:
- Inclusion of a link does not constitute endorsement or a relationship between me and the original author. I am not connected with, or responsible for, any goods or services offered by them. I also do not have time for a lot of highly detailed fact-checking – which is why I only include links that I personally trust, but:
That Scam Show‘s mission is to help you learn to tell the difference
between good and bad information.
- To be safe from scams, you will need to develop the skills necessary to view all information with a questioning mind, always mindful of the source’s authenticity, reliability and verifiability. That Scam Show aims to help you develop those skills so you can better protect yourself and the people you care about.
- The purpose of collecting content on this site is to make it easier for people without fraud expertise to find relevant educational information, and to create a space for you all to engage in public conversations with me and each other.
Scams are evolving every day, so nobody knows everything about every scam – not even the scammers. The more we learn, share tips and experiences, and talk openly about scams, the safer we will all be from the common scams, the rarer scams, and those that are not yet invented.
Let’s shed light all over this topic so we can all see scams from a mile away!
